Christ our Example

“For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps… who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness.”

1 Peter 2:21,23,24 (NKJV).

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who … humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Philippians 2:5,8 (NKJV).

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”

Matthew 16:24 (NKJV).
